Nylon Chivda

Nylon chivda is a crispy and savory Indian snack made primarily from thin flattened rice flakes (poha). These rice flakes are seasoned with a variety of spices such as turmeric, cumin, coriander, and chili powder, along with roasted nuts, seeds, and dried fruits like peanuts, copra and curry leaves. The mixture is typically tempered with mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves in hot oil to enhance the flavor. Nylon chivda is a light and crunchy snack enjoyed on its own.
